Compassionate therapy for women, families, adolescents and healthcare professionals.

SAHA SANCTUARY
"A space to be held, heard, and helped."
PERINATAL · FERTILITY · FAMILIES · HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS · TRAUMA
Saha means wellness — and it's also a name close to my heart, echoing my own children's names. That dual meaning is the spirit behind this practice: Saha Sanctuary was created as a space for calm, reflection, and growth, for minds and families who need care as much as my own family means to me.
Saha Sanctuary offers compassionate, culturally sensitive therapy and workshops for healthcare professionals, families, and individuals seeking balance and healing. Rooted in Cognitive Behavioural and Systemic approaches, our mission is to nurture psychological safety, resilience, and meaningful connection — one relationship, one family, one mind at a time.
Saha Sanctuary represents a future where mental health care is both compassionate and credible — grounded in evidence, inclusive in reach, and dedicated to helping every person live with balance, meaning, and wellbeing.

At Saha Sanctuary, therapy is tailored to where you are in life — whether you're navigating fertility challenges, the transition into parenthood, trauma, or the pressures of a demanding career in healthcare. Sessions integrate evidence-based CBT with a systemic, family-informed lens, delivered with cultural sensitivity and without judgement.
What we offer:
All sessions are available online, offering flexibility without compromising continuity of care.
We also provide consultation and advisory services, including bespoke workshops for healthcare and medical education providers, as well as community- and hospital-based treatment services.

Shammi BABCP-Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist | AFT-Accredited Systemic Family Practitioner
The founder of Saha Sanctuary, with over 18 years of NHS clinical experience, Shammi brings dual accreditation in both individual (CBT) and systemic/family therapeutic approaches — a combination that allows her to work flexibly across individual, couple, and family presentations.
Her clinical specialisms include:
Shammi holds a BSc in Psychology and two Master's degrees, including an MSc in Clinical Psychology and MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy. She has postgraduate teaching experience at Goldsmiths, University of London, and advanced training in fertility counselling through BICA. She currently works within NHS Practitioner Health, supporting healthcare professionals' mental health, alongside her independent practice.
Her recent role includes working in family therapy in Adolescent psychiatric intensive care unit.
Shammi is BABCP Accredited and AFT Accredited.
Shammi's approach is warm, direct, and rooted in cultural attunement — particularly for those living in different countries or cities to what was their birth home, faith-centred, and underserved communities who may not always find themselves reflected in mainstream mental health provision.
